A Special Purpose Entity is a pass-through partnership that exists solely for the purpose of obtaining Pennsylvania Education Improvement Tax Credits (EITC/OSTC). It enables the individual's or business's Pennsylvania tax liability to flow through it for the purpose of participating in the EITC/OSTC program. It is the SPE that makes the application to the Commonwealth on behalf of its Members. PEP accepts individuals and businesses as Members.
Thanks to the Members of the PEP Special Purpose Entities, EITC and OSTC funds have provided needs-based scholarships to thousands of children attending Philadelphia's Jewish day schools, the OROT special needs initiative, dozens of preschools and non-public schools throughout Pennsylvania.
